Ragweed is a weed that releases tremendous amounts of pollen in the fall that is the main culprit in triggering the seasonal allergy commonly known as hay fever.  It’s a large plant with numerous spikes of tiny green inconspicuous flowers.  It forms large colonies in ditches, open fields and near the edge of wooded areas.
